Welcome to Biz Talk With Josh Smith! I am pleased to be your host, Joshua I. Smith, and I personally thank you for visiting my site. Please send me your ideas, comments, and questions. I appreciate your feedback. Biz Talk With Josh is a forum for you, small, minority and women business owners and entrepreneurs, to share those things that are important to you as you endeavor to grow and manage your business. I share my observations and opinions, gained from over 30 years experience as a business owner, entrepreneur, member of public and private Boards of Directors, with you, and I introduce to you people from the world of business at the highest levels, people who most of us would rarely have the opportunity to meet in the course of his or her daily experience.
My show focuses on how small business owners and entrepreneurs are impacted by conditions that support or detract from their effectiveness. In that regard, my show also includes the support systems, obstacles and other conditions which have to be overcome in order to launch and grow their businesses. Biz Talk With Josh Smith includes business situations which may not have resulted in successes or failures but offer lessons learned which are openly shared with the listening and internet audiences. My show is of great interest to those who are contemplating becoming entrepreneurs and how the task of starting a business involves everyone associated with and/or around the entrepreneur and the sacrifices which are required.
I firmly believe that there is a critical need for a radio business talk show directed to the meaty issues, concerns and developments which impact small businesses and entrepreneurs with a specific focus on minority and women-owned enterprises. Biz Talk With Josh Smith is that talk show. The air waves and other media are full of news which affects large/global businesses, but small businesses go unattended. Sarbanes/Oxley, union activities such as card check, rules/practices of the financial sector, and developments in international trade are only a few examples where the small business community is not mentioned or considered. Yet, the impacts on this extremely large segment is completely ignored. Biz Talk focuses on these issues. The significance of minority businesses never even hits the screen of attention and significance. In addition, our people spend far too much time and energy on social, political and non-capitalistic activities which leaves little left in the tank for business...tune in to Biz Talk, because we talk about it!
